Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

 

The Colorado Center for Biorefining and Biofuels (C2B2) is currently accepting proposals for its Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. This program aims to attract the best early-career researchers from around the world to focus on fundamental scientific challenges across the broad range of disciplines relevant to the renewable energy industry. Research disciplines include plant biotechnology, biochemical and thermochemical conversion technologies, as well as process, product, and systems engineering.

For the 2010 RFP, the best proposals will be sensitive to research focus areas suggested by C2B2 Sponsors. Click HERE for a list of suggested focus areas.

Fellows will be funded at $35,000/year salary support. Sponsoring Project Investigators (PI) are responsible for paying the fellow's health benefits, supplies and research related travel costs. C2B2 invites applicants throughout all relevant disciplines to apply. Candidates must be sponsored by a C2B2 PI in order to submit a proposal. It is the responsibility of the applicant to contact prospective PIs to inquire about sponsorship prior to applying. For additional information on obtaining a C2B2 PI sponsor, click here.

Applicants and their submitted proposals will be reviewed by an academic panel that will select fellowship awardees. Award announcements will be made beginning in August 2010.
